SWEET AND SAVOURY



 This gourmet-sounding dish is actually incredibly simple. Not only does the unusual combination taste great, it’s also packed with muscle-building nutrients.
 The steak is a complete source of protein, contains
vitamin B12, iron, niacin and zinc, while the strawberries are brimming with vitamins A and C, fibre and omega-3s.


SEARED STEAK AND STRAWBERRIES

(SERVES 1)

120 g steak
1 tsp coconut oil
6 strawberries, halved L arge handful of rocket and                      watercress salad
1 tsp horseradish (or balsamic vinegar if you prefer)




1. Heat a frying pan until smoking.
2. Smear the coconut oil directly on to the steak and sear each side.
3. Cook to your liking and when done, set aside on a chopping board and loosely cover, leaving to rest for at least 10 minutes.
4. In the meantime, fill a bowl with the salad leaves and strawberries.
5. Using a sharp knife, slice the warm beef to your preferred thickness and add to the salad.
6. Add a few drops of horseradish or balsamic vinegar and serve.
